Kevin D. Johnson, Senior Investigator/Consultant
Kevin Johnson is ISO 28000 certified, has membership in the National Tactical Officer's Association, the High Tech Crime Investigation Association, and the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI.
Kevin D. Johnson is a thirty-three year veteran of local and federal law enforcement. He began his career as a Nuclear Security Specialist with the United States Army Military Police Corps. He then spent seven years as a Deputy Sheriff and Patrol Sergeant with the Ward County Sheriff's Department, Minot, ND. Finally, Mr. Johnson served for over twenty-three years as a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
As an FBI Special Agent, Mr. Johnson conducted investigations into violent crime, such as street gang violence, bank robberies, and child abductions. He participated as a lead investigator of a multi-agency task force that targeted violent gang activity in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Johnson was responsible for the initiation and operation of the San Francisco franchise of the Innocent Images National Initiative, which targeted the exploitation of children by sexual predators via the Internet. Through this initiative, Mr Johnson gained experience in conducting Internet investigations and has utilized forensic previewing software to review and analyze digital evidence. He made numerous presentations on Internet Safety and Internet Investigations.
In addition to his investigative assignments, Mr. Johnson served for over 18 years as a member of the San Francisco FBI SWAT Team. He served as a tactical operator, assault team leader, and ended his career with the FBI as the Senior SWAT Team Leader. He was responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of high risk tactical operations. He has experience in SWAT tactics and procedures, force protection/dignitary protection, and the integration of tactical operations with other elements of the FBI Crisis Management team.
